Testing Water Resistance in 100% RH
Can be used to test the water resistance of coatings by exposing coated specimens to a high relative humidity at an elevated constant temperature, so that condensation forms upon them.
Test specimens are placed in an enclosed chamber, in which a climate is created that comprises of a heated, saturated mixture of air and water vapour, at a temperature of +38C and a relative humidity of 100%RH. This climate is maintained under constant steady state conditions. The test duration is variable.
